Welcome to the website of the Coral Springs Winter Baseball Astros sponsored by GALLIONE INC.
Thank you for visiting the website of the GALLIONE INC., Astros Baseball Team.
This website has been created complimentary by GALLIONE INC., the team sponsor (a Criminal Records Network & Video Surveillance Company). This enables the Players, relatives and friends to enjoy seeing some photos of the children while obtaining any information needed that may be pertinent to the team.
The Astros are underway with games having a great season and all Players are trying their very best, making great improvement in their skills from week to week while learning a little about baseball. Equally as important-they are having a lot of fun!

ATTENTION: PARENTS & FAMILY
We will be posting all Players photos on this website ultimately so that they can enjoy seeing a uniformed photo of themselves and their team. Should any Player's photo not be posted initially, we will be posting it over the next couple of weeks so - not to worry. Additionally, should any of you take quality digital photos during any game of any Player that you would like to have posted on this website, by all means contact GALLIONE INC., below. Photos need to either be of a .gif and/or a jpeg format and can be sent to GALLIONE INC., through the email on this site or can be handed to Rich Gallione in the form of a 3.5" Floppy Disk or CD Rom. Should any of you notice any typo's or needed corrections throughout this website, don't hesitate to contact us as well. Thanks again, and GO ASTROS! |
SAFETY COMES FIRST!
Although we definitely want to have a lot of fun this year while enjoying the game of baseball, we want to be careful to practice quality safety rules. A few years ago we GALLIONE INC., sponsored a Little League Team of 7/8 Year olds and one of the Players was struck in the face with a bat due to another Player swinging it in the dugout. Thankfully the Player totally recovered, however he did have to be rushed to the Hospital and receive extensive surgery. We of course never want to see this happen again. No Players should possess a bat in the dugout whatsoever after they unpack their bags on arrival to the field. No Players other than of course those at bat, should be swinging bats and Parents need to try to restress to each Player being aware of their surroundings so that we keep everyone SAFE! Thank you for your support.

THIS SEASON'S RULES / OVERVIEW:
Basically what we want to achieve this season is simply starting to instill basic baseball skills and a general understanding of the game to all Players. We do not expect them to pick up on all rules, nor do we expect them to have anything less than fun! At this level its all about letting them start enjoying the game and you will never find any member of our Coaching Staff to convey anything other than support and a "high five" for any Player's efforts. It doesn't matter at all if they make a play in the field or do not hit the ball during their time at bat. We want to support them as best we can while only asking that they behave well while in the dugout and on the field, always stand up and try to pay attention in the field and the rest will come later-but always "support and praise" is important to be shown at this age as otherwise they will not enjoy the game and be less likely to play baseball in the future. That would be a shame as it is a great game and a very healthy athletic sport for them to undertake. Thanks for your support. |

SNACK DAYS & SNACK INFO:
At the beginning of the season, we handed out to all parents Snack Day Lists and Information. Snacks should include one food snack and one cold drink per player. We rotate these snack days to make it fair for all parents not to be a burden. Should you need a duplicate copy of the list or should you have any questions about what to bring as a snack and cold beverage for the Players, do not hesitate to email us at the links provided through this website.
Also on the game schedule, we will do our best during a day that seems to possess bad weather to contact everyone if the game will be called off however we do not always know in advance.
Regarding the Game Schedule, if you have a question or need a duplicate copy of it, again please email or contact the Team Manager and we will make sure you are issued a duplicate. If you are going to miss a game, the only thing we ask is you advise the Team Manager so that we can be sure to have enough Players to participate in the game your Child is going to miss so that the fun is not ruined for the other Children.
Thanks again.
